Utilising photogrammetric maps of MSFS2020 and incorporating that into our system, we are able to offer realistic VFR and Night VFR flight practices for licensed and student pilots. All of the reference points on VTC, VNC and WAC charts are visible and identifiable along with satellite topography, 3D buildings, roads, landmarks and much more. What pilots would see at a given location whilst flying our simulator is almost the same as what they would see from a real flight!
Please check the slide show above for real life to simulation comparison
Almost all other high end flight simulator systems are using Plausible World Model which is an auto-generated scenery where buildings and the picture of the ground don’t necessarily match up to buildings and the look of the real world. At VFLIGHT, we use life-like Photogrammetry Model for VFR navigation.
Short answer, EVERYTHING! Including NIGHT VFR!
Pilots can prepare a flight plan just like they do in real life, have their route plotted on a map with leg times and ground speed calculations (we can set the wind direction/speed matching the flight plan for accurate ground speed and deviation) and they can fly that route in our simulator just like they do in real life ( Time -> Map -> Ground ) Pilots can even practice lost procedure! Even smallest towns and features are clearly identifiable to surprise you about how real it feels. With 270 degrees field of view, pilots feel completely immersed with exceptional situational awereness, and practice navigation with the FRACTION OF THE COST OF A REAL FLIGHT!
